Music has always defined Matt Rein. First came piano lessons at four years
old, then guitar lessons a few years after that, and then the release of an
8-song demo in sixth grade. Fast forward a couple years and Matt's the
frontman in a teen rock band called Keepsake, which would soon become
Forge. Such tracks as "Days Go By," "You're Wrong," and "A Story" would be
written during this time. Following Forge's breakup in 2006, Matt worked
on solo recording projects in New York City, and took to writing and
recording songs in his bedroom studio. After graduating high school, Matt
enrolled at the University of Miami, where a rigid academic schedule would
only stand in the way of him pursuing his truest love: his music. In the
summer of 2009, Matt recorded "A Story - The EP" at the Skip Saylor Studio
in Los Angeles, and soon after left Miami in order to be entirely dedicated
to his music. Matt has produced many of his own demos, collaborated with
and produced for other artists, and has written plenty more music to be
released in the future. He has gigged extensively in the Miami and
NYC/Connecticut areas, works everyday on building strong relationships with
fans, and continues to find and expand upon his art. He is definitely an
artist to keep an eye on.
